The First United Methodist Preschool has had a few spots open up for fall in our morning 3’s class, which runs from 8:45 to 10:45 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We also have a few openings in our afternoon 3’s and 4’s classes.
Join us Sunday, July 17 as we welcome the Sonshine Choir from Brentwood United Methodist Church in Tennessee as they lead us in worship with their 2016 Summer Tour program Nothing in All Creation Can Separate Us from God’s Love. The 80 voice choir, made up of youth from 10th - 12th grade, is making stops this summer in Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois and Tennessee. We hope to see you there!
As United Methodist Christians, we mourn with the victims and families of those wounded and killed in the shootings on June 12, 2016 in Orlando, Florida. We may even pray and wonder if anything could have been done to avert this heinous act.
This Saturday, June 11
First United Methodist Preschool is looking for a part-time afternoon teacher in our 4 year old classroom. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, with extra time for classroom set-up once a month and an occasional evening and weekend event. Applicants must have 60 semester hours of college credit with 6 hours in early childhood. Salary based on experience.
Join us on Sunday, May 29 for a special service where the 9:30 and 11:00 services will be combined into ONE service at 10:00 a.m. This is a great time to make new friends, re-connect with old friends and bring guests to visit our church.
Join us on Sunday, May 15 at our 9:30 & 11:00 a.m. worship services as we celebrate the completion of our Sanctuary Memorial Stained Glass Windows project. We will dedicate the remaining windows and sing hymns that reflect the spirit of the windows’ design. We hope you will join us for this joyous occasion!
