The Garden

The Garden

This is a new mid-week opportunity to refocus, re-energize and reflect in a quiet setting. It is a chance to gather your thoughts for Christ before or after your other activities. Each week will offer a unique worship experience, but always in a very meditative way. All are invited.

Behind the Service

Pentecost BannerYour worship experience at DGFUMC is enhanced by the volunteer efforts of this many faceted work area. Whether a preschooler singing in the Angel Choir or a bundled up parking attendant on a cold winter’s morning, this Work Area operates behind the scenes to support the pastors and help to provide a spiritually fulfilling worship experience for you and your family.

Additionally, the Worship Work Area members coordinate the Acolytes, the Alter Guild which takes care of the seasonally changing paraments, banners and flowers, the Communion Stewards, Lay Readers, Organists, Sound Booth Attendants, Ushers, Parking Lot Crew and Counters.

Wow! That is a lot of volunteers and we always welcome more. Because we love and appreciate our volunteers so much, we honor them each winter at a home made breakfast!
