Lunch Bunch

Lunch BunchThis is a group of senior adults who get together the second Wednesday of each month for a social activity, fun and fellowship. Some of their activities have included a trolley ride to the Sears homes in Downers Grove, a trip to Starved Rock, Christmas in Chicago, a movie: "Singing in the Rain"; a play in Naperville and a Sing-A-Long. 

You may sign up for events in the Parlor on Sunday mornings, or contact the Church Office.

July Lunch Bunch Outing

The Lunch Bunch is a group of senior citizens who meet the second Wednesday (generally) of the month for fun and fellowship (and lunch).

Our July luncheon will be on the first Wednesday, July 6. We will gather for an indoor picnic at 11:30 a.m. in Chapel Hall with each person/couple attending providing a salad or dessert. A fee for this event will be determined at the June planning meeting. You are encouraged to wear red, white and blue. Don Safford will set up his magnificent grill and cook hamburgers and brats.

The sign-up sheet will be available in the church parlor between worship services on Sunday morning. All seniors are welcome!  Looking forward to seeing you.

June Lunch Bunch Outing

Our June luncheon will be on Wednesday, June 8, at Harner's Restaurant & Bakery, 10 W. State St., North Aurora.

We will meet at the restaurant at 11:30. If you wish to carpool or need a ride, please call Bonnie Lehmann at 630.308.2259 or the church office at 630.968.7120. Those who want to carpool can meet at the church parking lot and leave around 11:00.

All participants will be in charge of paying for their own meal. The sign-up sheet will be available in the church parlor between worship services on Sunday morning. All seniors are welcome!  Looking forward to seeing you.

The Lunch Bunch, formerly known as The Young at Heart, is a group of senior citizens who meet the second Wednesday of the month for fun and fellowship (and lunch). Our next luncheon will be on Wednesday, April 13, at Harvest Pancake House & Grill, which is located at 339 W. 63rd Street, Westmont.

The Lunch Bunch, formally known as Young at Heart, will have their first gathering of the year. We will meet at the restaurant at 11:30 a.m. for lunch. If you would like to carpool, please plan on leaving the church parking lot at 11:15 a.m. All participants will be in charge of paying for their own meal. Young at Heart Outing to Isle a la Cache Museum

501 E. Romeo Road, Romeoville

We will be visiting Isle a la Cache Museum located on 135th Street, east of Route 53, in Romeoville. The Isle a la Cache Museum offers visitors an adventure in 18th century history, when the "Illinois Country" was home to French voyageurs and native Potawatomi. The Museum features interactive exhibits of the Great Lakes fur trade of the 1700s, in addition to a replica Native American longhouse.

Those interested in carpooling will meet in the church parking lot at 9:45 a.m.  A luncheon will follow the hour long tour. To sign-up visit the Young at Heart table in the parlor or contact Marilou Welch.

Young At Heart is a group of senior adults that meets monthly for a social activity. Join us at 11:00 a.m. on June 10 as we gather together for a game of miniature golf at Miner Mike's Adventure Golf at McCollum Park followed by lunch at Home Run Inn. The cost will be $5.
