Rally Day Weekend!

Rally Day Weekend

September 11 – 13

Rally Day is not just a day this year — it is a whole weekend! Join us! Join us to kick-off our new year and celebrate the coming season as a congregation!

Sign-up for each event is required.

Youth Rally – Friday, September 11, 7:30 p.m.
Rally Day weekend will begin with a youth rally in our parking lot. The rally will include prayer for all of our schools and leadership, a washable paint balloon art project, team building games at a safe distance, and music provided by Nick Loos, Chapel Choir director, and Kevin Zehme, Chapel Choir accompanist. We will also continue registrations for confirmation, chapel choir, and a new youth art collective. Sign-up for the Youth Rally here.

Weekend Movie – Saturday, September 12, 7:30 p.m.
Everyone is invited to join us for a movie in our church parking lot on Saturday, September 12. We will be watching Finding Nemo in the North parking lot. Please bring a chair and wear a face mask! Sign-up for the movie here.

Sunday Zoom Worship – Sunday, September 13
Join us at 10:00 a.m. for our Zoom worship service. The link is provided in our weekly enews, Happenings, sent out every Friday.

Messy Church – Sunday, September 13
Visit the church website homepage for a link to our monthly Messy Church video. Messy Church includes a story, crafts, and other surprises. Those coming to Messy Church are invited to join the celebration at any time! We will all be messy together online! All are welcome!

Outdoor Communion Services – Sunday, September 13, 1:00 and 2:00 p.m.
In the United Methodist Church, we celebrate two sacraments: baptism and communion. We know many of you have missed practicing communion together as have your clergy. Starting in September, we will be offering short Communion-only services outside our building, weather permitting. We will continue to celebrate our regular communion on Zoom on the first Sunday of each month. Bring a chair or blanket, wear your mask, and bring bread and grape juice. Sign-up here.

Prayers for Schools
This school year is unlike any school year we've had previously. With this in mind, we want to take time to be in prayer for our schools, students, staff, teachers, and families. During each of the rally weekend events, there will be space for people to decorate a prayer square. After rally weekend, these squares will be joined together and our community prayer quilt will be displayed in a church window.
